Sometimes there is an equation relating a sensor’s output to the measured variable. Amplification causes the span to increase whereas adjusting the offset causes all values in the span to be increased or decreased by the same amount. Common changes include amplification and offset. When the range of a sensor’s signal is different than the input range of the data acquisition system, signal conditioning can be used to rescale the signal from the sensor.

However, it would be extremely overwhelming to manually place each tree in a forest yourself. For example, pieces of dust on a floor or thousands of trees in a forest. The render settings allow the user to set the quality level to a wide spectrum from rasterized to fully path-traced (in OpenCL™) render quality, enabling everything from fast viewport previews to accurate final renders.Īdding complexity to a scene greatly helps with realism. It is especially useful for quick “playblast” style previews. This brings Vulkan-based ray tracing for fast viewport and final renders. These exported files can be used to pass data between plug-ins or rendered from the command line with the “RPRSRender64.exe” utility.įor Maya, we added Full Spectrum Rendering modes for rendering (Windows® only). While many of the below updates are for the Maya plug-in, the Radeon ProRender plug-in for Autodesk® 3ds Max® v2.6 has received many core updates to the rendering software and denoisers. Or maybe I could make a list of what possibly I would do and then compare each feature which one feels better and does faster and then sum everything to final "score".Just in time for Autodesk University 2019 and the exciting release of the new AMD Radeon™ Pro W5700 workstation graphics card, our Radeon™ ProRender physically-based rendering plug-ins have been updated with new features and tools including Full Spectrum Rendering Vulkan® ray tracing for the Autodesk® Maya® v2.8 plug-in and some helpful new user documentation. Of course I can invest weeks-years and then I will know the answer myself which one is actually better for me. What I was curious about is how they differ in terms of workflow for example once "mastered", which one is faster to model stuff, in which one is easier to handle LookDev of large scenes, which node editor ( Hypershade vs Slate Editor ) has better and more useful features, in which is faster and easier to do lighting etc.įor now to me Maya seems simply way slower and way worse than 3ds Max in nearly every possible way but that's because I'm not used to it very much that's why I was curious, I bet here is a lot of people who are experts in both. Well, pretty much every 3D Package does the same thing but the differences even small ones can make huge impact on the workflow and efficiency/speed. Of course I don't know a lot about Maya so I'm curious if there's some fancy stuff in Maya since it's animation and rendering software used a lot in the Industry so it has to have better lookdev and lighting features. Max is just insane I guess that's why it's the most popular software for ArchViz, it's so easy to find stuff very fast, replace materials and so on. Large Scene with a lot of materials management BiFrost as far as I know is only for Fluid simulations sort of alternative of FumeFX and PhoenixFD. Max has TyFlow, Thinking Particles and PFlow, Maya only has MASH which is very basic and super limited. Seems like Max sort of wins here by a little, Maya has look through, while Max has Highlight Picker which is way more powerful tool in terms of placing lights and the rest is sort of same. Imo Maya wins here especially since it even has sculpting. Also Maya doesn't have Multi-Sub material so if let's say I assign material on selected faces and accidentally delete the shader how do I find the selection? I suppose it gets deleted too. Box or Planar and set is as map #2 then in the bitmap settings set which UV to use. Still newbie in this area, but I'm not sure if Maya supports multiple UV's on same model, for example in Max there's map numbers, I can for example set map #1 as original UV map and then add another UV on top e.g. So far Maya seems bit more comfy in terms of UI customization, nodes seems a bit harder to work with, but there's some pros too such as "Favorite material", "Zoom to Material" etc. Look Development / Shading or whatever you wanna call it. Here's what I do mostly including what I plan to do: Hello, probably this was asked many times before, but I'm going to be more specific, I'm curious what Maya does better than Max since I know Max pretty well but I'm new to Maya and I'm not sure if it's worth a switch. I have opened the permissions up to everyone just to verify that permissions are not the problem. Regardless, the project cannot find these files. It seems to have been put there by Visual Studio. I appreciate the response, but these answers do not address my issue. the World 2 as if it were a stand-alone project. He even shared the cover for it as Lil Uzi Vert vs. The fact that he's revived the series on the deluxe edition of Eternal Atake is everything. It's a landmark project in any Uzi fan's catalog, the one body of work that began to hook fans to his electric rap style and unpredictable creativity. the World 2. With features from some of the hottest rappers in the game, Uzi's takeover is complete. Maybe the complete vision of this album will be finished by then.Just a week ago (March 6), Lil Uzi Vert whisked away a large percentage of the population to his home planet with the surprise release of his sophomore studio album Eternal Atake. Now, the rapper's doing the unthinkable and swooping up the rest of the Earth in his spaceship's beam with the release of a deluxe version of the LP featuring a collection of new songs that the rapper refers to as Lil Uzi Vert vs. Uzi recently announced a “Part 2” coming soon for this album. Much of the tracklist is one-note and lacks variety. Uzi laid out a promising foundation on his previous album, but did not deliver with this disappointing follow-up. Many fans, including Uzi himself, hyped up this record for so long. In “Prices,” Uzi builds upon the flows from “way back,” making the song stand out on its own. “ Homecoming ” impresses the most out of the tracklist, with a rhyming scheme that perfectly complements the track’s beat. Uzi also showcases some infectious flows throughout the project. ” Unfortunately, the latter comes across as a lazy retread of the hit song and does not provide any replay factor. ” Even the album closer “ P2 ” is a redo of Uzi’s biggest hit, “ XO TOUR Llif3. “ Prices ” samples the manipulated vocals from Travis Scott’s “ way back. “ You Better Move ” samples sounds from 3D Pinball Space Cadet, which adds a unique flow to the beat. The typical trap 808s are in full force, but the samples and synth sounds give the entire record a very spacey feel. However, the record’s production undoubtedly stands out. Uzi’s focus on lyricism on “Eternal Atake” is an admirable but ultimately failed feat. ” But Uzi has never been known as a lyricist, with his talent shining through his singing and melodies within emo-rap. The album relies heavily upon lyricism, as Uzi raps about his lifestyle and occasionally sings about a lost love in tracks like “ I’m Sorry ” and “ Chrome Heart Tags. While the story could refer to the problems he experienced with his label, it would be a basic allegory of it at best. Not only is it an uncompelling story, but it does not connect to the lyrical content in any way, making it feel unnecessary. The story involves Uzi being abducted by aliens and escaping them. In order to make the tracklist stand out, Uzi scatters skits throughout the album. The song already features a mind-numbing chorus and an offbeat flow, and the lack of interesting lyrical content does not help. Uzi refers to high-end fashion brand Balenciaga by saying “Balenci” repeatedly on “ POP ,” the album’s fourth song. In terms of lyricism, Uzi does not stray far away from typical topics such as fashion, sex and materialism. Does it live up to it though? Not really. Now this story has caught the attention of almost everybody in the music community and has built up immense hype for this album. He later revealed he had been experiencing problems with his label, which did not allow him to release new music even though he finished the record already.Īfter months of dealing with drama and releasing singles, Lil Uzi Vert finally released “Eternal Atake,” with only two of the singles-“ Futsal Shuffle 2020 ” and “ That Way ”-labeled as bonus tracks. In early 2019, Uzi announced via Instagram he was quitting music entirely. However, fans’ excitement withered when Uzi went silent for six months. In 2018, Uzi announced “ Eternal Atake ,” along with a cover that drew inspiration from the Heaven’s Gate cult logo. Since the release of his 2017 album “ Luv is Rage 2 ,” famed trap artist Lil Uzi Vert has accumulated many fans because of his unique voice, melodies and pioneering efforts toward “emo-rap,” a genre that fuses the technical abilities of rap with the lyrical content of emo music. But then the second run, when his uncle misplaces the deposits and the amount is too big for George to cover, kind of hints at a concept that’s still up for discussion today: what it means to be over-leveraged. As you might remember, he uses the money for his honeymoon to tide over bank customers to keep them from withdrawing everything. The initial run on Bailey Building and Loan is at the very beginning of the movie and it sets George on this path of being a banker. To some extent-though less literal now-whenever there’s a big looming financial crisis, there’s fear of a “bank run,” which now looks more like long lines at ATMs as customers try to pull their money out while they still can. White: Let’s talk about the bank run(s) because that used to be a real thing, when people would rush to pull money out of failing institutions during the Great Depression. They really think all their money is sitting there in the safe, but never question how the bank is then able to distribute so much money, such as loans for their homes. It’s really not clear to the people of Bedford Falls how credit and loans work, to the point that people cause a bank run and George has to use his own money to stop the institution from dissolving. It’s an important plot point, but I also think it speaks to how much people don’t know about how banks actually work. As a whole, the movie raises some critical questions about the purpose of banks: What are they meant to do and who are they meant to serve?īourree Lam: That scene has always really stuck out to me. But I love that speech for another reason, too: It helps explain, at a pretty simple level, how deeply interwoven America’s banking structure and finances can be-so when a bank, big or small, fails, lots of people wind up feeling the impact. I want an audio file of George Bailey saying “The money’s not there!” as he tries to explain how deposits get rolled into other products, not just stacks of bills tucked away in a vault. White: I forgot how much commentary there is in this movie about the economics of how banks and loans work. The decisions of the well-intentioned Bailey as he faces an unfortunate deposit-envelope mix-up and tries to fend off an aggressive tycoon make for a clear-cut narrative set piece, but also, whether Capra intended to or not, make the movie financially instructive all these years later.īelow is a conversation we had after (re-)watching the film about the various questions it raises about mortgages, banking, and financial solvency. The film’s protagonist, George Bailey, gives up his dreams of traveling the world to run Bailey Building and Loan, a small community bank with a mortgage business. But the movie’s plot also touches on some still-relevant financial topics, including the nature of banking, the philosophical calculus behind issuing loans, and the way American families’ financial fates are intertwined (and, we swear, we aren’t just saying that because we both happen to report on business and economics at The Atlantic). Seventy years after its release, Frank Capra’s It’s a Wonderful Life remains a holiday classic, with warm and fuzzy messages about the importance of love and family. We still don't know why our blue hero went rogue and started hunting human fighters instead of mad robots, but we are certain he should have his reasons. The game also features some secrets worth uncovering, including a bunch of little nods, lots of Easter-eggs and a boss you are not quite guaranteed to see, alongside Dan Hibiki, who plays the role of punching bag as Mega tests out a newly acquired power. But then again, beating the game in no time should not be a problem, because the design is so solid that you will be enjoying every second of it. You will get so involved into Street Fighter X Mega Man that you might be a bit disappointed when you reach the final stage, as you will feel like it was just a breeze that leaves you yearning for more. You will have to react accordingly and make generous use of the charge shot, slide, and acquired weapons.Īll in all the game is amazing, however, the downside in there is the extension of it. The bosses naturally follow predicable patterns in true old Mega Man's fashion, but as it is always the case, simply knowing the pattern is no guarantee of victory. There was love put into these levels, no doubt about that. Moreover, the stages are pretty well designed in a deeply nostalgic way related to assets from old games. That fact insufflates a great deal of charm into the game, aided by some amazing soundtrack that mix up familiar songs from both Mega Man and Street Fighter while it utilizes some new chiptune tracks that are true to form. So instead of the likes of Elec Man, Ice Man or Cut Man, you will be fighting Ryu, Chun-Li, Blanka and some other unexpected foes. And the fact that these enemies can use super attacks just like their Street Fighter forms is a pretty cool design decision!Īs you might have understood by now, the curveball thrown into the mix here comes by way of the role of Street Fighter's characters, as they will not be your allies, but in truth, the real bad guys. With an original soundtrack by Luke Esquivel (" A_Rival") and developed by Singapore native Seow Zong Hui (" Sonic"), you will find a game where the blue bomber goes toe-to-toe against some of Street Fighter's most beloved characters aligned with their own individual themed stages and boss battles. When it comes to the look, style and gameplay, they are directly derived from the classic 8-bit Mega Man games, featuring some non-linear stage progression, an arsenal of amazing weapons and the longed-for old-school gameplay that will not be nice to you if you are more used to the difficulty of modern games. From the honest collaboration between the gaming company and a very particular set of fans, Street Fighter X Mega Man was born in order to celebrate both Capcom franchises, even though it is far slanted towards the latter. But you'd know that if you were a Gypsy, wouldn't you? You would have seen it in your tea leaves. In another, an old Gypsy caricature of a woman is seen stroking someone's palm and proclaiming that all Gypsy women are psychic. In fairness, it is superior to cursing someone with lycanthropy, but it's still a dick move, Gypsies. Most of the trailers feature a scene with one of the characters bashing in the windows of an SUV in stark contrast to the myth that Gypsies may be hotheaded. For instance, you don't think all Gypsies are fortunetellers, do you? Do you, you crass, ignorant fool? Ha ha! A Gypsy curse on you then, for the family in this show actually runs a chain of psychic shops. Or, in some cases, just confirming them anyway. But also, it seeks to dispel the myths and stereotypes you know about Gypsies (or "Romani," if you want to pretend to be politically correct before you jump ass first into the racist cistern of dribble shits that this show tosses at you) by replacing them with all new and worse stereotypes. Like every other would-be reality show that focuses on an ethnic group, this show is offensive to mankind. It takes a while to get to the reunion, but it’s worth the trip. The National Geographic Channel, in a bid to outstupid TLC, A&E and the History Channel, all of which are a black morass of clusterfuckery and board certifiable fucktardation of a degree damaging to the very fabric of society and possibly even reality itself, has introduced the Ralph "Karate Kid" Macchio produced atrocity American Gypsies, a show so devoid of purpose, Kardashians can only see it from their peripheral vision when they're medicated. It splinters into hints of Back to the Future and Ferris Bueller’s Day off, and ends like a Breakfast Club reunion. The movie starts off with a Star Wars vibe. Instead of video games and bad pop songs from the 80s and 90s, “Regular Show: The Movie” gives a confident nod to some of the more popular movies from the same era. Along the way, “Regular Show: The Movie” pays tribute to the pop culture that makes it popular. Skips, Muscle Man and Pops play the reluctant heroes, called upon to fight the forces of evil against the greatest odds with little chance of success. Mordecai and Rigby are the princes of the common people, slacker, video game junkies that appeal to the 12-year-old in grown men.īenson, Mordecai and Rigby’s boss in the park, is the tormented king, desperately waiting for the princes to take something, anything seriously. That is one of the charms of Regular Show: It has created its own mythology, complete with its own tragic Greek heroes and characters. As the story unfolds, another chapter in the Regular Show mythology is written. The clash includes time travel, laser guns and something called the Timenado. Mordecai joins forces with an evil high school volleyball coach. Of course the park workers side with Rigby. Mordecai is the one bent on destroying it. Rigby is the one who actually can change the fate of the universe. The future Moredecai and Rigby hold the fate of the universe in their paws, or wings, or whatever they use as hands. So don’t fret, Regular Show fans, Mordecai and Rigby stay friends for awhile. In “Regular Show: The Movie,” lifelong buddies, Mordecai and Rigby, are at odds. JG Quintel, the creator of Regular Show, does the imagining. Imagine a world where Mordecai and Rigby are not friends.
